The Iraqi Journal of Physics (IJP) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published by the College of Science, University of Baghdad, Iraq. The journal publishes original research articles in theoretical, experimental, and applied physics. It may also consider interdisciplinary studies in astronomy, materials science, remote sensing, and related scientific and engineering applications, provided that they demonstrate a clear substantial connection to physics. 

Established in 2002, the Iraqi Journal of Physics is one of Iraq's specialized academic journals dedicated to the physical sciences. The journal provides a platform for researchers from Iraq and other countries to disseminate scientifically sound and original findings that contribute to the advancement of physics and its interdisciplinary applications. It seeks to enhance international scholarly communication and promote collaboration among researchers, academic institutions, and scientific communities. 

The journal has been published quarterly since 2017; it was published three times per year from 2009 to 2016. All submitted manuscripts are screened for text similarity using Turnitin before being considered for peer review. Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial assessment are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process by independent experts in the relevant field. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), and the authors retain the copyright to their published work.   

Publication was temporarily suspended from 2003 to 2008 and resumed in 2009.
